Just like pixels, reality may just be an arrangement of atoms.

Those atoms touching two universes, and then reason to grasp this is an impossibility.  Atomically there must be sense evidence that some of this reality is missing, not entirely present, or stuggling to connect, iiusionary, fleeting, dreamlike, intuitive, or even haunted.  Not just simply real, but something, that must be touched, felt experienced.  Then technology and glass technology make yet another reality in some ways, perhaps very profound inwardly.
