Ironically I call them time threads (Nothing to do with string theory)
A time thread is a human to time experience so it can't be hard science. It has to do with what happens to a person. It is not fate at all, but rather an anti-fate kind of thing. In the seconds of time something can interfere with causal chains of reactions. Some are minor, while some are major. The major ones are like catching something moving fast in the air, you might not see it, or be fast enough to catch it. If you catch it the effect is almost like jumping through time where the jumper knows something has happened that changed everything, yet everyone else is clueless. Anyone claiming to have such an experience would be considered bonkers, so the secret remains.
