I imagine liquid orange peels
Sliding on rails of steel
Peeling in the rain.
I imagine a lost elk
It is roving through the woods
And into the clear.
I imagine hawks many of them
Shooting through the sky
Trying to warn the people below.
I imagine clowns caught
Within a mirror
That shatters into a zillion pieces.
I imagine waves of the undead
Priceless antiques of China
The China that she put in her home.
I imagine creatures jumping in the imagination
Thoughtless possibly out of control
And nothing said no to them.
I imagine a toy soldier
Moving with an army of skeletons
And two wine glasses shattering together.
I saw you lying upside down in a cloud
Light was shooting out of your eyes
Nothing was ever the same again.
